Pune Invitational Supercross promises to enthrall audiences

Pune, October 26th 2017:The wait for the most awaited supercross event in India is finally over as the Vilo Events today officially announced the launch of fourth edition of the Pune Invitational Supercross League 2017.
The fourth edition of the league with a new look and format will be held on November 17th, 18th& 19that Royal Palms, Mundhwa. The track is indigenously and wholly prepared by the VILO Events team.  This year the league offers to be a mega event which promises to revolutionize the sport of motocross and supercross in India. The riders will ride six motos over the three days.International riders will set the tracks on fire along with the top level Indian racers for the highest honors. Team riders will get points as per the performance at each round. Points will be given for each of the races. The total tally of the points will decide the winner. This format gives the overall championship a great competitive edge.The auction will be held on November 3rd in Pune.
The event will be mix of glitz and glamour and will be called “Great Indian Supercross Festival”. With freestyle motocross shows every afternoon, food stalls, exhibits, product launches, music, performances & supercross models. The three-day action-packed event will showcase some of the best brands, artists and racers.
The Pune Invitational Supercross League is the largest and the most talked about supercross event in India and the first of its kind franchise-based league format in supercross racing event in the world. Modelled on cricket's popular Indian Premier League (IPL), the Pune Invitational Supercross League, aims to change the face of the sport which is gaining huge popularity. A total of 53 national riders and 11 international riders will be part of league and will compete against each other for the top honors. The event also witness two free style demo riders. Young and talented rider RugvedBarguje will be the face of Pune in the competition amongst top notch riders like Harith Noah, V.S Naresh and R Natraj. Underprivileged children supported by Mukul Madhav Foundation get to meet the star cast of Golmaal Again


October 27th 2017: Mukul Madhav Foundation, the CSR arm of Finolex Industries Limited, arranged an interactive session between underprivileged children from Samajik Vikas Kendra Social Development Centre, Malad, Mumbai – an NGO selflessly working for the overall development of underprivileged slum/street dwelling children from Mumbai since 12 years, and the team of Golmaal Again -Rohit Shetty, Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, who were the star attraction during the event. The talented star cast were able to empower and enlighten the children through their acting journeys during the interactive session and created a special memory for the kids with a photo op.

These 20 children met with the actors amid much fanfare, as the MMF team along with Finolex team transported the excited kids from the institution to the venue. The children were able to have an insightful conversation with the actors, who helped them realise that their dreams can become a reality in this life. Besides, providing a perennial hope to the children, the MMF stands greatly for enhancing the healthcare and social welfare of children across districts.

Awestruck! When the ‘Tree of Light’ was launched


Three youngsters, Anvam Nagpal, 17, R Siddharth, 24,and Anvika Nagpal, 12  came together to create ‘Árbol de la Luz’ (Spanish for Tree of Light) – an esoteric sculpture, unifying the elegance of glass and the brilliance of light. A unique representation of one of nature’s great marvels, created by utilizing used glass bottles and different lights and other materials. Who knew recycling could be so much fun?

Àrbol de la Luz was unveiled in all its glory at an intimate but dazzling ceremony on Saturday, 30th Sep ’17. The triumph of light (over darkness) blended perfectly with the festival of Dussera, and its enduring theme of the victory of good over evil

Padma Bhushan, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar, Founder and President of Symbiosis Group of Institutes, did the honour of unveiling and was effusive in his praise, fascinated at how the youngsters had managed to meticulously craft something so towering and impressive. “I was told you have to see it to believe it”, he told the audience, smiling, “and I have to agree, that it’s true”, complimenting the youthful artists. He felt that the “Elegance of glass and the brilliance of light” was an apt descriptor of the sculpture.

Audience reactions, especially from the other youngsters present at the event, went a step ahead in their praise. Guests were especially curious about the details behind the tree, marveling that it took five months for the nine feet tall structure, weighing over a tonne, incorporating over a 100 bottles, 250 lights, to come to life. The symbolic fruits, each delightfully wrapped in strands of light, attracted the most attention.

“It is exquisitely crafted”, “The tree itself is a treat to the eyes and I am extremely happy for Anvam, Anvika and Siddharth”, are some of the compliments showered on them.

The broader context also struck a chord with the environmentally aware younger lot. “It is a representation of the need for recycling and how aware our young generation is of this fact. The tree, made from glass bottles and intertwined with various lights, is an essence of nature we are trying hard to bring back”, said one.

“A bright event literally and figuratively portraying today’s eco-friendly world in one structure”, remarked another. It was left to another student to sum it up perfectly.


 “The tree stood for strength and integrity, emanating beams of light that radiated nothing but positivity and hope around it.”, she said. “ It was fascinating how something so powerful, profound and beautiful can be displayed through something so simple like a bottle !”

The memorable evening concluded with a sizzling musical performance by Anvam (violin) and Anvika (keyboard and vocals).

Pune based Shweta Shah launches her Debut Novel “I Wear the Smile You Gave”


Pune, October 2017: Shweta Shah, an IT professional from Pune recently launched her debut novel “I Wear the Smile You Gave” at Crossword, Phoenix Market City. The novel is based on the tragic love story of Friendship, Love and Duty and is inspired by real-life instances of the male lead character in the book.
